New Beauport House Gallery opening Friday 14 June 2019

PURE Arts Group announce the opening of a brand new gallery within Beauport House at Bannatyne Spa Hotel, Hastings.

The new gallery opened on Friday 14th June and was part of a whole day of celebrations, showcasing enlightened Sussex women.

Sponsored by Bannatyne Hotel & Spa, Hastings and Chapel Down Vineyards, the day was delivered in collaboration with Eggs to Apples Award Winning Farm Shop and British Design British Made. It concluded with an exclusive VIP event celebrating inspirational female trailblazers, each of whom has a personal story to tell of triumph against the odds and societal convention.

WING Art Gallery is situated in the centre of the charming Wealden village of Wadhurst. The gallery has a warm inviting feel, blending 15th century origins with Edwardian and Victorian additions and a contemporary hanging space. Artists represented are of national and international standing and their artwork is exhibited alongside the work of gallery resident artists Gavin Roweth and Dani Humberstone VPSWA.

Artichoke Gallery, Ticehurst

On the eastern edge of Sussex, surrounded by beautiful countryside, Artichoke Gallery is in the heart of this wealden village with an eclectic selection of small creative businesses. In addition to featuring the work of artist/owners Vicki Atkinson, Liz Moys and Louisa Crispin, there are quarterly themed exhibitions of painting, sculpture, ceramics and jewellery on behalf of some of the leading artists and makers in the country.

ArtSpring Gallery, Tonbridge

This friendly and welcoming artist-run art gallery in the historic town of Tonbridge in West Kent brings together a collection of high quality work from local and regional contemporary artists who are specialists in their disciplines. Works on display in the bi-monthly group shows include painting, print, photography, mixed media, sculpture, glass, ceramics and jewellery.

Chalk Gallery, Lewes

​Chalk Gallery Lewes exhibits a consistently high standard of contemporary and affordable artwork by professional local artists in a variety of media, style, subject and technique. A re-hang every six weeks offers an exciting and constantly changing exhibition of paintings, sculptures, ceramics and prints. Chalk is run by the artists themselves, so there is always someone there to give you a warm welcome.

West End House Gallery, Smarden

Situated in the beautiful, historic village of Smarden, the gallery shows original artworks and crafts by a range of renowned artists and makers. It is run by two (over) enthusiastic local artists, Karen Papworth and Patricia Hawkins. ​They host four to five themed exhibitions a year, with an eclectic mixed display in between. The gallery space is a friendly and stimulating environment with inspiring work, at all prices.

PowderMills Hotel, Battle

The PowderMills Hotel is a stunning privately owned, 18th Century listed country house nestling in 150 acres of beautiful parklands, woods and large lakes, situated just outside the historic town of Battle, adjoining the famous battlefield of 1066.
