Join artist and curator Vincent Matthews, Vice President of the Society of Graphic Fine Art (the Drawing Society), for an inspiring evening of imagination and mark-making at the Royal Society of Arts.
Inspired by the spirit of Surrealism—with its fascination for dreams, chance and the unconscious—this relaxed workshop invites participants to explore the playful and unexpected possibilities of surrealist drawing. Through guided exercises and open experimentation, Vincent will show how imagination can unlock new creative directions and help develop images that move beyond the ordinary.
Alongside the drawing session, Vincent will share insights from his artistic practice and curatorial experience in an informal conversation with Lesley Samms FRSA, founder of Pure Arts Group.
Whether you are an experienced artist or simply curious to try something new, this session offers a welcoming space to experiment, discover and connect with others through art.
