Vivienne Dixon

Print is an important part of Vivienne’s practice as a multidisciplinary artist that she uses to develop and experiment with traditional and contemporary techniques including recycled materials. Her recent work has been inspired by photos of dilapidated warehouses. This body of work has been printed in a series to expand her concepts by changing the tools that she uses to apply ink to steel plates with and regularly altering the colour palette.

Vivienne’s mark making is created using brushes and varnish combined with cut and shaped masking tape. This spontaneous, experimental way of working aligns well with traditional methods of printing. These images could be made into editions is desired.
