This is one of the early waterfall paintings from the Dordogne which I made for the solo exhibition on H2O I won in a national exhibition. Here I not only explored the use of transparent glazes built up in layers but also put bright under painting on the MDF before starting the final image. Having built up the final image I then sanded selected areas to show the ground colour through the top layer as a texture.
